Ceiling Lights

Everybody requires ceiling lighting; it is the most accessible and common way of immediately illuminating a room. The possibilities are endless. KES Lighting can provide ceiling fixtures for any style or taste, ranging from up-to-the-minute innovative contemporary designs to traditional tried-and-tested styles. In today’s environmental climate, eco-friendly design and lighting is a major focus and will become increasingly more so in years to come. From pendants to flush fittings to candelabras to bars to contemporary fluorescent to premium quality Italian-made fittings, you are sure to find the perfect light for your situation here.

Selecting the perfect ceiling light relies on several factors. Firstly, lighting undeniably creates the immediate atmosphere of any room, which comes from the brightness, quality and density of the light. For example, fluorescent fittings create a cool, crisp light which casts no shadows, making it ideal for kitchens and garages where a clear impression of the room is required. In contrast, incandescent lighting (most commonly found in decorative fittings used in living rooms, bedrooms and hallways) can be used to create a warm, welcoming ambience or a bright, airy space with the addition of a dimmer switch.

The physical size of the fixture is another factor to consider. Depending on the height of your ceiling, you may have to decide between a pendant-style fitting (on a chain) and a flush fitting, which lies directly flat to the ceiling. As new builds are increasingly being built with shorter ceilings, it is important to consider the height and depth of your fitting and how obtrusive it would be in situation. Many of our products are part of wider product families, which include wall lights, table lamps and floor lamps, in order to preserve a theme or design style in a room.
