Building Regulations now require that in certain circumstance fire rated recessed fittings must be used. The issue with recessed lighting fixtures results from breaking the drywall barrier after cutting an opening to install the fixture, hence the barrier must somehow be restored after holes have been cut for the fixtures.
All the fittings below are acoustically rated and comply with BS467-20 and 23 as required by the building Regulations parts B and E.
