Our fabric shades are manufactured by a family-owned company of artisans who have over two decades of experience in creating hand-made, exquisite works from the highest quality materials. Their level of customer personalisation is unparalleled; due to the vast amount of raw materials at their disposal, customers can select their own shape, size, colour, material, and a variety of decorative embellishments. Our customer service advisors will be more than happy to help you select the perfect fabric lamp shade for your standard or table lamp. On our website and in our show room we have a selection of fabric shades for you to view.

To begin selecting your shade, you must determine certain components. Firstly there is the shape (Bath, Haywood, Maia and Chartley are the main frames) and size of the shade (ranging from 9" right through to 23"); this is extremely important as it then dictates to what material can be used. Following this, the type of fabric must be selected. Customers can select from damask, silk, moiré or dupion, leading to the selection of colour, of which there are hundreds of options. A popular choice often selected by the customer is to provide the manufacturer (via us) with the actual fabric they want on the shade. This allows for closer matching between the shade and existing furniture in the customer's home, as well as reducing costs by providing your own materials however the processing time is extended.

All our fabric shades are manufactured from high quality fabric and are created in England by a family-owned-and-run business.

Desk lamps are most often used for function in comparison to table lamps which tend to be more used for effect. Because of this, desk lamps commonly have features like adjustable heads and necks for a more accurate directional light. They are produced to work for the customer, to spread light where light is needed, for example on computer screens, work surfaces and hobbies such as sewing and computer gaming. When searching for the ideal desk lamp, there is several criteria to consider. How busy is the location where it will be; is there much clutter or objects on the desk, or is it relatively tidy with quite a lot of room? Do you have a personal computer, with its accessories on the desk? Lamps with adjustable necks are known as 'goose-neck' lamps, due to the curve in their structure. They can be manouvred and positioned to direct optimum light to an area such as a keyboard or where lots of writing and reading is done. Many of the 'goose-neck' style lamps we have on our website use Halogen lighting for even brighter illumination.
If the area is more traditional and subdued, an option such as a bankers lamp would be suitable. Classic and complimentarily old-fashioned, bankers lamps make a subtle statement in any room and give a satisfying warm glow of light to comfort and warm.
