Help & Advice

A flush mount ceiling light is a type of lighting fixture that is mounted directly onto the ceiling with no gap or space between it and the ceiling surface. It is usually round or rectangular in shape and provides bright, even illumination to the space.
To clean a flush mount ceiling light, use a dry, soft cloth to wipe away any dust and other debris from the exterior of the fixture. If necessary, use a damp cloth to gently scrub away more stubborn dirt and grime. After wiping down the exterior of the fixture, make sure to also clean the inside of the globe or shade as well.
The main difference between a flush and semi flush ceiling light lies in their height off of the ceiling surface. Flush mount lights are designed to be installed very close to (or even touching) the surface of the ceiling, while semi-flush lights hang down slightly further from the ceiling surface for additional contrast between them and your other furniture or decor pieces in a room.

When selecting a size for your flush mount lighting fixture, it is important to consider both aesthetic considerations as well as practical ones.

For aesthetics, you’ll want to choose one that fits well within your existing decor scheme without looking overly small or too large relative to nearby furniture pieces.

Practically speaking, you’ll want to ensure that there are no obstructions blocking access to it so that it can provide adequate illumination when turned on. As such, you may need to take measurements of your room before making a decision on size.
