Help & Advice
What are the main types of Chandelier?
Chandeliers can add drama to any space within the home, whether it be the living room, hallway or even the bathroom! They come in all shapes and sizes, so you’ll be sure to find something that suits your needs:
Candle – a design classic that will bring formal elegance to any room. While varied in style and material, all of them feature candelabra style arms that hold a candle-style bulb, some will even mimic real candlelight.
Shaded – whether upward or downward facing, fluted or straight – the shaded chandelier providers a warm effect to your room. Perfect for creating a cosy feeling.
Crystal – the absolute height of glamour! A crystal chandelier will add radiance to any room and is sure to be a real conversation starter.
Sputnik – perhaps you’re into a more abstract, contemporary look and feel? Sputnik chandeliers typically have spindles tipped with lightbulbs that stem from a central spine to create exciting geometric shapes.
Square/Rectangle – another contemporary classic, the light fixtures are typically enclosed by geometric shapes.
Globe – the light source is surrounded by an elegant sphere.
Wagon Wheel – metal/wooden rings suspended from a chain. A traditional look that suits a wide variety of styles within the home.
Empire – one of the most popular forms of crystal chandelier. Strings of crystals cascade from an upper cone down into a larger bowl.
Lantern – modern meets vintage: light fixtures are held by lantern-shaped open cages.

Are chandeliers dimmable?
Many fittings already have dimmable functionality built in. For those that don’t, you’ll be able use dimmable bulbs and get your electrician to install the compatible dimmer that corresponds to your fitting.
