Antique Brass Wall Lights

Aged brass at eye height

The wall is where antique brass earns its warmth, because a wall light is seen at eye level and switched on early. Endon's Marietta, Berenice and Ridgeton are the volume sellers under £50. Hudson Valley, Hinkley and the Eichholtz Claridges are the pieces you buy for a hallway you are proud of.

90 wall lights, from £20, a third of them under £100.

What we'd tell you in the showroom

Pair a wall light with the pendant from the same family and the room stops looking bought in pieces. The Marietta wall light beside a Marietta pendant is the easiest example, and the reason both sell.

A double light like the Claridges reads as one tall line and suits a narrow wall beside a mirror or a doorway. A twin-arm light like the Stanford spreads sideways and wants width. Look at the wall before you look at the light.
