Bronze ceiling lights are where the American houses live. Kichler, Hinkley and Quoizel between them make up more than two fifths of this page, in finishes called Mission, Regency and Palladian bronze that are all darker and warmer than they sound. What we'd tell you in the showroom

Bronze is not brown. Most of these finishes are a near-black with a warm undertone that only shows when the lamp is on, so a bronze fitting on a dark ceiling will read as black from the doorway. That is fine if you want the light without the fitting. Choose a crystal piece like the Belle if you want both.
